Extra Credit

my posting wouldnt post as a comment, sorry!

In Brigid O' Farrell's article she talks about how many were killed in a factory disaster. It is sad that it took such a dramatic and terricle thing to happen to have unions legalized and women to finally have the right to vote. Labor unions are very important to women because they now get many benefits. As an education major I know that labor unions will offer me alot. In the article she talks about how in Wisconsin it is an attack on women when the govenor is attacking working unions because 61 % of city workers which include teachers are women. I agree that this is basically an attack on women.
From the article I've realized that unions are not only important in the United States but all around the world. Unions give benefits and prevent health hazards which from the article when the shirt factory burnt down there were many health hazards. So having unions really helps prevent things like this from happening.
